Who are we?
SMARTT Veterans CIC is a veteran-led organisation based in the North East of England. Our mission is to support UK veterans of all ages—and their families—as they transition from military to civilian life. While our company is newly formed, our leadership includes lived experience of military service, transition, and the challenges that can arise post-discharge. Our support include;

According to the 2021 Census - County Durham had an estimated 22,615 veterans, representing 5.2% of its population
13.2% of veterans in County Durham reported their health as being bad or very bad

34.4% of veterans in Co Durham have a disability that comes under the Equality Act
Although there is no confirmed percentage of homeless veterans in Co Durham, an estimated 163 homeless veterans are within the North East.
