Our dedicated IAG team provides personalised advice to help you navigate your options, whether you're seeking employment, education, or additional support. We aim to empower veterans with the information they need to make informed decisions about their future.

Why get involved?

Our approach draws on lived experience and evidence from FiMT’s own research portfolio. It combines practical training with holistic support, recognising that successful employment outcomes often rely on addressing confidence, wellbeing, and support networks.

We collaborate with local training providers, employers, and mental health organisations to deliver an integrated programme. Participants will co-produce aspects of the programme to ensure relevance and inclusivity.

Our team comprises dedicated professionals with experience in social work, mental health, employment support, and community development. We will also actively recruit and train veteran volunteers to provide peer support and mentorship.

SMARTT VETERANS CIC is all about lending a helping hand to those who've served our country.

We are dedicated to supporting UK veterans of all ages and their families as they navigate the often tricky transition from military to civilian life.

If you're facing challenges due to a disability or vision impairment We're also committed to making sure veterans have a real say in how we do things.

SMARTT Veterans are well-networked across North Durham and identify the skills gaps for local employers. We collaborate with many local employers, organisations, local steering groups, and projects
