SMARTT Veterans CIC is a new veteran-led organisation based in the North East of England. Our mission is to support UK veterans of all ages—and their families—as they transition from military to civilian life. While our company is newly formed, our leadership includes lived experience of military service, transition, and the challenges that can arise post-discharge.

SMARTT Veterans CIC responds to well-evidenced issues around employment and skills development among transitioning veterans. Despite possessing a wealth of transferable skills, many veterans experience barriers such as qualification gaps, difficulty articulating experience to civilian employers, low confidence, and a lack of tailored support. These challenges can be compounded by mental health concerns and financial instability.
